As a way to support our community and our vulnerable, WWNA wants to mobilize the SEWERS in the community! and make masks for Canterbury Place and Beecroft Manor senior residents.
How can you help WWNA in this effort??
- Are you a sewer in West Willowdale?
- Do you have 100% cotton 1/4″ elastic, bias tape, thread to spare?
Do you have any of these materials to donate?
- 100% cotton fabric or sheets?
- ¼” elastic
- 1/4″ bias tape
If so, please drop off at 170 Ellerslie Avenue in the Materials Bin
Can you Sew?
Look at the patterns below, help yourself to materials in these bins and sew away. Once completed, drop off masks in a clear plastic bag in the Finished Masks Bin at 170 Ellerslie Avenue
These masks are in no way, intended to replace any equipment approved by Health Canada or otherwise, including, but not limited to, N95 masks. These masks do NOT treat or prevent the spread of COVID-19 or otherwise and are not to be used when working with infected people, unless they are used over top of a N95 mask. These masks are to be used only as a backup to frontline workers when they are faced with a shortage of personal protective equipment (“PPE”). Please see Health Canada’s guidelines on what PPE is required for healthcare professionals. Stay safe!
